      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Stone Anvil Problems

I wanted to see if anyone has tips/ tricks on getting it to work. Ive tried using my hammer everywhere and it just wont work. I know other people have had this problem too. Im hoping some of you have figured out a somewhat reliable way of getting it to work, and would share with me. Thank you

As you said, it's a well known problem. A bug has been filed, and there's already posts about it in this forum.

The only workaround I've seen is leaving the world and entering again. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for everyone.

Been trying everything, all stones, clicking everywhere, restarting client, going in another zone, without any result :(

This happened to me when I tried to use limestone (I was in a limestone area) as anvil. Then I tried in marble, from NEI, and it worked.

I've ended up just cheating because when I place a Stone Anvil from creative it works. >_< I really wish this would be resolved.

I found that when I try to use an anvil it freezes my hot bar.

I got around this by making two stone hammers.

I then use one on my hotbar to make the stone in to an anvil.

The second I keep in my inventory to place in the anvil.

After the hammer is left there and I exit the anvil interface, it seems to act normal.
