better gem stone textures (yea there useless but they are pretty)

hi guys sorry if this has all ready been posted about

while on my vacation to a little waste land area on the BC coast called Prince Rupert, i desided to go gem hunting

i knew of several large granite quarries that might have contained large green serpentine and rose quartz crystals

along with other neat minerals.

after finding a rather large blueish red quartz crystal (about 3 and a half inches long) i noticed how interesting it looked while still attached to its host rock.

so my idea is to have some of the gem stone textures redone to have the gem attached to a host rock, this pic should help you understand.

i know there useless at the mo though i do think it would be an interesting addition to the mod.

ps sorry to anyone living in Prince Rupert, i just don't understand how you can live in a location where you have no jobs and it rains 300 days of the year.

I thought the blocks just have a random chance of dropping gems and they aren't actually in any given rock... or am I wrong?

there random from what ive seen (except diamonds)

my idea just gives a piece of stone to the texture

Are you talking about the sprite for the dropped gems? I was actually thinking about doing exactly what you're talking about months ago. I just never got around to it as I've been incredibly busy. (So busy that I've been behind TONS of artwork on agriculture - sorry guys)

P.S. - just got my repaired tablet from Wacom so I'm back in business again!
