      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

MCEdit & Chiseled Blocks

5 posts in this topic

I was working on the sewer system on the post-apocalyptic map when I realized I could use MCEdit to make my life a whole lot easier, as I was using chiseled blocks to make it look more authentic. I loaded MCEdit up and deleted space so I could just fill it in with the sewer, without having to manually mine all that extremely annoying falling dirt. Rejoined the server, and this happened;

It seemed to only affect the chiseled blocks within a certain radius of the edit, as I used to to delete space for the sewer.

Any workarounds?

I think that happen because MCEdit can't spot the chiseled blocks, then it replaces them with other blocks from the mod, that have the same ids of the vanilla blocks. I think.

You seem to have also lost the redstone lamps, but i think that using a map editor would overwrite the blocks like wolf said, you'll probably have to re-do them all manually, unless someone is an mcedit wizard.

No, he didn't lose the redstone lamp. If you look at the walls in the image above, you notice they're made out of half blocks, that in the image below are replaced with a full block. It is covering the lamp. I don't think he lost the lamps.

No, I didn't lose the lamps. It just irks me that they turn the block into a completely different stone. I wouldn't mind as much if they stayed the same type of stone.
