TFCraft download for minecraft 1.2.5

10 posts in this topic

I have been trying to get a version of TFC for minecraft 1.2.5 so i tried downloading TFC build 48g by editing the last few characters in the download link like this "http://www.terrafirmacraft.com/files/TFCraft-Universal-Core-B2-Build48g.zip" I get an error when i try to download any version that is not for mc 1.3.2. Am i doing anything wrong? If so can someone help me get a version of TFC for mc1.2.5?

Thanks!

versions prior to MC 1.3.2 weren't universal, so the link should be:

http://www.terrafirmacraft.com/files/TFCraft-client-core-B2-Build48g.zip

Also, the resources (additional textures and such) weren't included in the old versions, so you'll also need to download the TFC_Resources.zip file and place it in your jar:

Not sure if this needs an error report or if i just didn't install something needed. Thanks!

Well, I've never used NEI and codechickencore with TFC, so no clue about the compatibility there, but regarding TFC for 1.2.5, it was still a JAR mod. So you'll have to install it into the JAR and not into the Mod folder.

Hopefully this'll be the last of your problems ;).

As for the Modloader, Forge has included it for quite a while now (#109), so you really shouldn't need it.

#109: We now use Forge ModLoader Client, meaning we no longer rely on ModLoader.

This means that for the source distrabution, you need NOTHING in your client or server jar in MCP.

For the Binary distrabution, this means you do not need to download/install ModLoader on the client anymore.

Make sure the order (with a CLEAN jar) is:

Forge (I use 3.3.8.152) i'm pretty sure you don't need ModLoader, as I didn't have to use it.

TerraFirmaCraft Core

TFC Resources

Place all of these in the jar, not in the mods folder.
