You should try to listen to the lead coder, fr0stbyte talk about it, I can't understand a frickin word he says and then refers to his explanation as the simple version (look in fr0stbytes dev log in member's lounge area on their forums) so I have confidence that he knows what he is doing.

It's funny how things are develloping with programming, this week I was working with my simulator on MatLab and I had to store 9Gb of a single Matrix on my RAM, then I saw how simply knowing how to solve your problems and writing isn't enough. One of Minecraft biggest problem is collision, there is so much information being processed in a large collision that is nearly impossible for low-end computers to handle. So I can relate to what kind of optimization they are facing. I think it will take a while until they can at least finish the engine. Bummer...

It made me miss SE5, a damn good game.

Learned today that FutureCraft isn't expected to be released for another three years. How do you even plan that far ahead? Anyways I was curious as to what the final word on this is Dunk just so I can tell them if they are going to be able to use it or not.
