While current villages are pre-built with pre-designated stuctures and items, I was thinking... eventually, will this system be replaced with a more complex civilization system.

How this works is basically where there might be 2~4 groups of AIs that are created during world creation. As each hour progresses, they begin to develop and expand their base area to have stone houses and what-not. Eventually, as game time progresses, they will enter into the early mining stages, having running tracks and resources of it's own. Later, they might progress further, building new (but small) cities outside of their base area.

What comes out of it? You get to use your gems (which are currently useless) to do trading of resources. This, in turn, also means that there is a development of trading system (most likely possible only on a late stage or around 24000 hours ingame, as to prevent exploit during early development, while providing the seriousness of being in the world since stone age). Additionally, you may witness different people from different civilizations fighting each other, at which you may try to aid one or the other (maybe fight all of them) to take over and gain resources from their own mining facilities. This civilization war system may need some fine-tuning however so it may or may not be included.

What are your thoughts about this?

Anyway, thanks for the heads up. Now I learned on what to avoid when suggesting.

But the idea I was thinking was to make something more realistic out of the game. A single person within a 20km radius with no other humans seems... wrong. How did human race ever expanded if that was the case? Did one human fucked himself/herself and gave birth to more humans? Cause current villages are wrong in many standards. I was thinking more towards how a civilization builds up. People gathering, setting a place to stay, getting equipment, building houses, expanding, progressing into the copper age. You know, like how REAL civilization grew. If Bioxxx doesn't want to do something like that, then I won't touch on this topic ever again. But if he just doesn't have a good AI dev to help him with it, then it's a totally different thing.

As for the realist aspect you touch on, this is also an SMP-mod, but mostly "survival". There's the "Kingdom Brainstorming"-thread if you want more insight on how Bioxxx (and dunk) plans to implement the civilisation-aspect.

But like I said, it's mostly survival, so if you're playing SSP, think of it as a sort of Robinson Crusoe / Castaway.

Actually I take my previous assumption back. I don't really know why he doesn't want to include them. I just remember reading a post dunk made regarding NPCs and that dunk had put the suggestion before bioxx and had come away with a very firm conclusion, which was that it'd not be included. Although I don't know if it was only relating to a certain topic or if it were in general.

Well, who knows. If he had created (in-game and still existing) a lifelike creation of a human in terms of AI (speech, self-dictated motion, individual personality and behaviour, etc), then I agree it would be something that the devs just don't want it in. Besides that, the main reason why I said such things is cause I don't know him or anyone in particular since I just recently joined. And I won't read through 1000 threads just to know who is what and how skilled they are at doing their job since it's their job, not mine. As a newbie community player, I do think that I brought about my worries and thoughts just fine.

Honestly, just like when starting a suggestion thread on other games, I don't ever read through the thousands of posts to know who does what. I don't even bother to know who really do what in the game development. I learn eventually, as I continue from the registration date, of who are the dev people and not. Anything else, don't know and don't care.

Btw, suggest you take a look at the posts counter for the time being to judge how old a person is in the forums and then by their wall of text, to find out whether he knows head or tail of anything about the happenings around the forums/game/mod.
