No more domestic animals roaming the wild

I've skimmed over the forums a bit, and I'm pretty sure this hasn't been discussed yet. Anyway, my idea is that instead of finding domestic cows and pigs in the wild, you find buffalo and wild boar. It would be more realistic, and it would be really cool to pick of a straggler from a herd of buffalo with your javelin. It would also work with the idea of wild animals making it dangerous to go outside, and monsters are less frequent but much more frightening and deadly. If you trapped a wild animal and kept it in captivity for a few generations, it would eventually become domesticated.
