Crash when eating a cooked porkchop in build 53

So i just started to test the 1.4 build and i encountered a crash. Here's the log:

Also, i can't see any tooltips for heat or item size, i'll try it without NEI.

Doesn't make a difference if it's with or without NEI, still no tooltips. Also this pops out whevever i try to exit the instance. Using MultiMC for the pastebin this time btw:

I get the exact same crash as yourself when exiting an instance, need to kill java.

Just tested campfires and same as yourself, no heat level displays.

cooked a steak, but it can't be eaten at all, as if its not food.

yep also if i leave a map it freezes completly without crash report and i gotta kill the task.

I think none of the vanilla foods should work, if you need food you should go with the meal system, like in the changelog. Still can't figure out how to get rid of the cooking surface.

well, the food bug was resolved in build 54, cooked porkchops no longer work as food. Still no tooltips though.

aye but as you say there is a new food system on its way. also to cure the crashbug on exiting, dont exit to title - close minecraft entirely, red X it, and it doesnt crash. still saves so no prob.

Oddly enough the food bar doesn't seem to go down.

it goes down. But yep food bug still there in 54.

Yeah, steak kills my game, I'll try the meal system to see if it's better, can you make a meal of one item? hope so.

edit: Appears it's been fixed for 55 when it comes out.
