      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Crash] Forge Build #354/355 Not Loading (Even with Configs, Mods or META-INFs!)

EDIT: This is now solved, please lock the thread (I don't know how to change the title, not too used to the thread layout yet).

Well, I decided to install Build #66 and I noticed it wasn't working. Even without placing any mods, it doesn't feel like being cooperative today.

I took a vanilla .jar, plopped in forge, but it still didn't work. I've tried like everything from deleting everything I don't need to using Magic Launcher. Something's just not right.

I'm kind of at a loss right now, I just don't know what to do. Here's the crash report:

Anyway, it looks like forge didn't even go in, it says probably not modded there I'd see if you can delete your mods folder and Minecraft.jar, start with a brand new clean jar, put in forge alone and see if it still has problems, then add player api and test, and then if it's still working add 66.

So I tried again, but FML says "Cannot launch in current configuration" and I get the exact same report. I'm playing around with the files but so far, no luck whatsoever :(

There's a couple things in the OP and elsewhere in your comments that are a bit open for interpretation on how you might actually be doing things, so let's just go through it from scratch (using the non-MultiMC version, but really, you should get MultiMC or something similar if you don't have it)

  • Start with a clean /.minecraft folder. Run minecraft once so it downloads everything. Load nothing and close out.
  • Download forge .354 (not the latest recommended) and install in your minecraft jar.
  • It is a good practice to now run Forge once; load minecraft and let forge do its thing, then close and exit.
  • Download PlayerAPI and install in your minecraft jar.
  • Only now put the TFC .zip into your /mods folder.
  • Run and see what happens. You should use a new world before trying any other worlds you may have.
  • IF you have to later change your Forge version, you must reinstall PlayerAPI afterwards.

Hmm, I found the problem. I left the old chickenbonescore thing in the "coremods" folder (after deleting the entire .minecraft which I was really hesitant to do). Thanks a lot! I'll keep the other installation instructions in mind.
