      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Strange new growling or engine sound

I've done a google and forum search for this but found absolutely no mention of it.

I just installed this mod recently and I have no other mods installed. From what I could tell the mod seems to be running properly.

This strange new sound was heard at night, it was like a long, drawn-out growling or revving of an engine (yet sounded like a man's voice), and in the background of the sound clip I could faintly hear the nether portal noise, but distorted. The sound quality was low, you could hear it crackling a bit, and it cut out with very little fade. I've never heard this sound in the vanilla minecraft so I figure it has something to do with the mod. I looked outside but couldn't see any mobs at all, no zombies or anything, at least not within an audible distance. Whatever this was it sounded like it was very close by, maybe right underground or something (but I'm not well equipped enough yet to venture under to see what's there).

Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

I dunno, the only new mob that makes that kind of sound are the bears. Or maybe the new cow sounds.

This soung plays when your cursor goes on an enderman. Even if he doesn't attack you, the sound plays...

Thanks, it was the enderman stare sound. It had never happened to me before for some reason, even though I've stared at many endermen.

its new in vanilla too and as far as i have heard it is a slenderman easteregg thing or similar to slenderman

which was out since march this year, the devs probably just liked the immense scaryness it brought :D
