      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

TFC Beta Build 67 Crash on Startup

6 posts in this topic

Hello people,

I require help with TFC Build 67 because I get a crash on startup. I would like to point out that I installed the mod on a fresh Minecraft 1.4.5, using Forge 6.4.0.395 and Universal 1.0 Version of Player API.

Other mods I have added are NEI and it's CoreChicken requirement, both the right versions, Rei's Minimap as well as OptiFine Ultra D3 for 1.4.5.

After the first several tries I removed my whole .minecraft and started anew, this time only adding Forge, the API and the mod and still no success.

When removing the TFC.zip, thus leaving us with Forge, API, OptiFine, NEI with ChickenCore and Rei's Minimap everything works properly. As a result of this deduction I can claim that the source of my problems is the mod itself.

Now, can anyone offer any help? I've been doing modpacks for a while but this problem baffles me.

I have provided the full crash log below using the Simple Minecraft Error Test. Thank you in advance.

P.S. I think I should mention that when I install it on my server, the server loads the mod properly and creates a TFC world. I know it works because it creates the TFC configs and the server took 33 seconds to create, as opposed to a vanilla world, which takes 12 second.

Does it run with just Forge, Player API, and TFC? In that order.

You installed the mods with multimc right? I give you a tip: first install manually the mods and then, only then, add the folder to multimc. Don't let it install the mods for you because the crashes that it causes are a lot. You just need to look in the support section...

Ive had a lot of luck with "Magic Launcher for Minecraft" for loading mods. Not sure if its compatible with the new forge though. Haven't had a chance to update yet.

If it's compatible, well. But seriously, guys if you know how to manually install mods, then do it and don't use other programs because the authors of the programs can't know what you're trying to install nor where it must go. You're better than simple programs because you can think independently from some lines of code.

Yeah, if you don't have any trouble installing manually it's probably easiest to do so. these programs work really well for many mods but some combinations just cause chaos.
