      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Crash Fixed: My computer bluescreened while writing this post first time. After reboot, I renamed the world (Due to obscene name.. ;s) and tried to reproduce the crash, but it laoded succesfully.

PS: My computer bluescreened twice right before I was about to click on "Post New Topic."

It did load, thankfully as I have just discovered a humongous vein of cassiterite, silver and tetrahedrite on this world :P

But it just crashed again when I tried to remove copper from the reconstructed bloomery.

I have only placed a new bloomery block, not entire structure.

*after checking*

It crashes on load again.

It seems that only native copper seems to cause this as I had no problem when removing tin and zinc from the bloomery.

Did you destroy the bloomeries before updating?

I tried to reinstall everything, and run the savegame file, but it still crashes due to TileEntityBloomery.RemoveOre/.g

Is there no way to salvage that save game? I just found a really, really huge vein and don't feel like starting all over again.

Try the same seed...but I don't know if the vein still spawns there.

Meh, I already deleted everything Minecraft related.

I'll play again when I upgrade my computer.

Hopefully more stuff will be made by then

ok so we are having something similar happen on our server, the cause i discovered was when trying to retrieve metal from the bloomery once it has cooled beyond a certain point causes the server to crash. im not sure what would happen if i filled it with more ore and coal im going to try that next

PS: My computer bluescreened twice right before I was about to click on "Post New Topic."

You might want to consider checking your RAM. I'm a computer technician and I've seen quite a few computers that have randomly bluescreened when the user was doing something. In most cases, the fault was caused by faulty RAM. Easiest way to check is to download and burn to CD the program available here: http://www.memtest.org/

Although it could just be Windows being Windows... ;)

Java is really unlikely to cause a bsod... but MC makes heavy use of RAM. I would bet you're right (or m/b ). But if they're upgrading their system, maybe not so much an issue for long.

I'm getting the exact same crash. It's happened twice now, same bloomery. Definately don't let a bloomery cool down with output. @sa13103 reheating the bloomery did not work :(

Anyone know of a version of MCEdit or similar that will work with TFC? I lost alot of stuff the first time I had the crash, as MCEdit seems to not like tool racks, anvils and a few other blocks...

Alamurla is right.

When the bloomery cools down and you still have output ore inside, it will crash and wont allow you to load your world due to ticking entity error or w/e.

Lost third world to this bs now.

I don't feel like playing TFC for the rest of the year now.

Yeoup, in B[72] TFC is still 98% unplayable because of this bloomery crash.
