      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

How to find better metals like hematite?

Finding Gabbro has never been a problem for me. I thought it was one of the most common rock layers.

In my last two worlds I found lots of gabbro as the top layer, but finding it in the lower layers, where there's a chance of it containing garnierite, was something of a challenge.

I found gabbro on the bottom layer on a b74 world. But now i cant find anything on lvl60. Since the dirt got lowered did the sweet spot get lower to ya think?

It looks like the dirt only goes down about 4 blocks deeper than it used to. I don't think that's the reason you're having trouble finding gabbro.

ya apparently our server is unlucky.

I even did an expedition to the north pole and dug out 6 shafts along the way with no luck.

As far as y60 goes, should be find you are probably just in a dead area, dig about 200 meteres you'll find something.

I REALLY have to throw myself into the meat of TerraFirmaCraft; I don't have time to play the modification because of my daily life and I plan to construct the Mines of Moria once I reach the Metallurgy Age. All I need is just clay, and I cannot seem to find the blasted earthen material (might as well as move to a plains biome, then).

EDIT: Has anyone attempted to build a Mines of Moria in their world/server as of yet?

I planned to but then I realized that it likely wouldn't fit in the world.

Is that in actual pieces of ore, readings or deposits?
