      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Overview of my main survival mode base. Creative mode used for screen shots.

If I had to pick one of my images, this would be it.

Posted Image

The fishing dock. With an area to clean and cook fish.

Posted Image

The mill. There is a working quern in the middle of the grindstone.

Posted ImagePosted Image

Fruit trees and breeding pen. Mostly pregnant female animals. I decimated the local wildlife over time while making the fort.

Posted Image

My single field. Should double in size after harvest. I filled in some of the lake, leaving a covered irrigation ditch along the fence.

Posted Image

Barn interior. Storage and an area for slaughtering animals. Complete with hanging racks, raised edges, and a blood grate :D

Posted Image

The rail that goes between mines. Roughly 2000 blocks south and 1000 north. It isn't all raised track...yet. South mines- Multiple mines with gold, silver, lead, copper, tin, coal, gypsum, saltpeter, sulfur, redstone, maybe more. North mine- Magnetite. Possibly enough to feed a server. The track is an estimated 60% gold powered rails crafted from the insane gold vein I found. Ores found by digging test tunnels over a week or two. Still hunting for nickle.

South side of the fort, with my home.

Private misc storage area and bedroom. The chest at the head of the bed still works.

I seem to have hit the cap for images within a post, so imgur links from here on.

Training area and armory. My last suit of bronze armor hanging on the wall. Steel FTW.

Blacksmith forge and four sided bloomery.

East "gate". Good ol' fasioned redstone/RS torch toggle kill pit trap.

http://i.imgur.com/JFens.png

Mining storage and conglomerate stone mine. For the roads.

http://i.imgur.com/Fwt6r.png

Wood storage and processing. Two small charcoal pits on the left side.

I have affectionately dubbed this, the Trebu-pult. The idea is that it would turn and fling piles of loose stone over the walls at attackers. But really I needed something interesting to fill space in the middle of the fort.

Maybe this is too many? >.>;

Yay, I finished my entry to this competition! I decided to make a new TFC client in my computer made solely for this and went to creative (because I have no massive survival base since I only recently started playing again). There I hopped around my spawn point for a while, found a nice, flat area which I smoothed out further and layed a foundation for... something... which evolved... from a small school... to a church. I decided to microscale a church I am forced into each time school starts, when receiving winter exam grades and when school finishes but made my own stuff up for the second level. I decided to make a partially exposed pipe organ (I will have to personally apologize to my hands for all the chiseling since I chiseled the entire thing) with a keyboard, plus an as realistic rendering as possible of a single church bell with a slightly unrealistic tower. I chiseled the front to the shape you can see and used 'plank's for the windows and window design. The altar is the way it is because: A. I wanted to have some kind of books but I couldn't make them with chiseling or planks so enchantment tables it is. B. The brown splotch in the window was supposed to be a B, keeping in with the giant letters on the front of the church but I realized that it was impossible without chiseling and since this was made pretty late (at which time I had removed the chisel from my creative inventory because my hands hurt just looking at it) I tried to go for some kind of 3D B which didn't work out. The stairs are entirely made of planks and were supposed to look almost 'wheel-chair friendly' for whatever purpose. The second level is without seats because that is pretty much the way this church I mentioned earlier is like (jamming 300 people into a church made for 150 leaves many standing).

On a side note: Bioxx, this church is dedicated to you, since you are a modding and programming god for the chiseling, plank-placing and all the other crazy features this mod has, especially the smithing and ore processing. Only thing I would ask of you is further optimization for the detailed blocks. When a chunk has enough detail it becomes so unstable and laggy that each time something (blocks/planks/whatever) is placed or destroyed, or the chisel is used on anything, the game freezes for a split-second and then has a chance for recognizing the one click as two, mucking things up for you. I had to develop tricks like twitching the mouse away each time I placed a 'plank' to reduce the chances of placing a plank wrongly and thus ruining a whole "block" of placed 'plank's. I suppose I will post this into the bug tracker later on but I also think few will go to the extremes in detail I did with this, and I will surely not be doing something like this again.

Anyway, I guess this wall of text is big enough for now. If anyone wants to see the thing first-hand I can share the world as well somewhere. Mind you, this is made in build 72. Adios.

DrkBlack's entry:http://imgur.com/a/nwFhu

and the progress of making: http://imgur.com/a/5Dh2x

Phew! It has been a pleasure posting my survival game, I really love the concept of TFC. When I first bought Minecraft I thought that the game was heading into the direction that TFC is heading now. Anyway, the pics I uploaded to shows the progress I made in two years (game years haha). The first link shows the current state of the valley. I've also uploaded the progress of transformation form a humble tavern to a fully walled outpost.

The most important buildings are; The Wanderer's Chapel, White Bell Tower, The Golden Valkrie Tavern, The Exploding Creeper (Bloomery and the forge), Iron Golem Tower (Watchtower), Fertile Goddess Tower (Part barn, part grainary).

The tavern itself was a small hut when I first settled in near the river bank that had cassiterite, and bismuth all over the place. With the incoming wealth from the precious metals the tavern itself begun to grow and expand. It is now serves as the center of the outpost and has multiple rooms for all your housing needs.

After the first metal bloom the bloomery was built. It was just next to the tavern but now it is in the center of the housing part. The bloomery tower was named "The Exploding Creeper" since I was still having troubles with the locals. The Exploding creeper also has a kitchen, a forge, a metelurgy table and all your needs for heat, fire and blacksmithing.

The White Bell tower was built after the tavern had expanded to the other side of the river. The granite required for the tower was extracted from the 2ond mine I started digging on the bell tower side of the river. It serves as a depot for all building materials.

The Iron Golem Tower is just a watchtower overlooking to the delta of the river. It serves as a gate to the outside world since the river is the only way of importing precious ores and other exotic materials to the outpost. It's interior is still incomplete.

Barn and the grainary tower was built when I decided to enclose the area, since agriculture has been growing exponentially I needed more storage for the plants and room for animals.

Inside Wanderer's Chapel is the tomb of my first death (after a battle with a creeper, the stone engraving illustrates the battle I made with that certain creeper to settle in the valley). Also its still under construction, with a half done engraving at the oposite wall. The chisel lags were getting unbearable, in a way that was more harmfull than productive, so the construction is pending.

I'm sorry for the long explanation part but there are still lots of things to explain. I just wanted to show the most important parts. The chisel work was done before the "blueprint update" so i guess I'll start a renaissance with the upcoming features now. I love how the game has made me evolve from "stone-age" to "middle-age". Also; HAPPY BIRTHDAY TFC!, stay awesome.

Finally!, after about a week i have finished my building for the contest. Its a luxury bungalow with a dock and a swimming pool in the basement. (i made it in creative mode, so i also used some iron blocks)

Posted Image

This is the livingroom, with ofcourse a tv, a couch and an xbox (with minecraft ofcourse)

Posted Image

This is the kitchen, with a charcoal oven

Posted Image

this is the dining room, with a simple bench to sit on and a planked wall (completely made of planks)

Posted Image

this is the bedroom

Posted Image

This is the basements first room with the door the the safe on the right and the swimming pool behind me. the button to open the safe is hidden between the rock which ive connected to a T Flip-Flop so ill just have to push the button once to open it and once to close it

Posted Image

This is the safe, located underneath the bedroom

Posted Image

This is the swimming pool (theres an annoying chunk glitch which I cant get rid of)

Posted Image

This is the garden from outside

Posted Image

This is the dock with my lighthouse in the background ( i had a redstone mechanism for it which made the light make circles making it more realistic, but i left that out)
