      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Game fails to get past Mojang logo

16 posts in this topic

Hey, I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong!

I have Player API version 1.1 and I've been using the reccommended build (Forge 6.4.0 3.9.5)

I also have build 72 of TFC.

So here's what I did:

1. Got a fresh Minecraft.jar from the site.

2. Started it up, made sure everything was loaded in

3. Closed it, installed the forge version above.

4. Installed the Player API after forge

*Here's where things get tricky*

I can start up the game, and the game will run completely fine with just the API and Forge, and no TFC mod files (extracted into) the mods folder.

When I add the TFC files into the "mods" folder that is automatically created the game does not get past the mojang logo

how do I even fix this?

Dont extract TFC, just drop the zip into the mods folder.

Okay

So:

Install: Forge (395) >Player API (1.1)

then

Just drop TFC into the mods folder?

Okay, trying it now with a fresh Jar.

--*Edit*--

And *Sigh* Again...nothing, didn't work, I didn't extract TFC build 72, I just dragged the zip into the mods folder.

Here's the error:

Take out TFC and when MC loads to the menu, click on the "Mods" button and tell me what it shows installed.

It should list the following mods:

FML version whatever

Forge version whatever

PlayerAPI version whatever

some others may be there as well.

Also just looked in another post.

Use Player API 1.2

Hmm, doesn't even say Player API.

3 mods, Minecraft Coder Pack, Forge mod loader, and minecraft forge.

Had to delete META-INF because I ran into a different loading error.

Download player API 1.2

install mods in the following order:

DELETE META-INF

forge, DO NOT DELETE FORGE META INF,

API 1.2,

TFC in the mods folder.

Happened the same to me but it think my crash log is different

here it is: http://pastebin.com/wsZM3ZLj

You've either not installed the correct Player API, or installed it prior to installing Forge.

Player API must be installed after installing Forge.

There is no Player API 1.2 for Minecraft 1.4.6 at the moment. The latest version for Minecraft 1.4.6 is Player API 1.1

Then what the heck did I do wrong?

be sure to use all the stuff for the RIGHT versions together!

If you use MC 1.4.6, then use:

Forge build .486

Player API 1.1 for MC 1.4.6 (The versionnumbers of the API starts from 1.0 with every new MC Version!)

TFC in the latest build #74 atm (#75 is announced)

Be aware - nowadays, there are TFC-Updates nearly every day ^^

But at least since #73 you can use the same Forge- & API-Versions.

PS.: To make your own life easier -> use MultiMC (or any other launcher - but I would really recommend MultiMC) to set up your modded MC-Instances. So you can swap out every mod without editing the MC.jar every time from base.
