      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Okay this is reaaaally of topic but why dont mod creators have a .minecraft pre-installed with their mod and a single mod version because this a pain in my butt sometimes when over and over i need to install a mod or a super complicated one like this comes up and I cant use it because its too confusing

Because sharing minecraft files is illegal and mod developers can't let you download a .minecraft for free. You could be a guy that doesn't want to buy minecraft, but that wants to play it and you just need the files. They can't give the .minecraft to you in a free download. However...

heh, its funny that you say installing mods is complicated

seriously, minecraft is one of the easiest games to install mods for that i know of

Not only that, TFC is one of the easier mods to install. Try installing all of the "tech" mods manually and messing with config files for a couple hours.

Yeah. I once wrote a nice post about this somewhere on here about this. Really, it's just drag and drop, and no configs necessary unless you want to change stuff, but the game will still work PERFECTLY without those changes. And if that is too complicated/not worth the time/you don't want to do it, you can always use MultiMC or Magic Launcher or things.

For TFC:

  • Download Forge, PlayerAPI and TFC
  • Open minecraft.jar
  • Delete META-inf folder
  • Drag all Forge files in.
  • Run Minecraft.
  • Open .jar and drag PlayerAPI files in
  • Open mods folder and put TFC in.
DONE! 7 steps, all of them being drag and drop.

Yeah dude. If I can do it, anyone can. The only problem i now have is trying to get tfc to run on my Mac.... dunno how to install it. Lol.

I got the FTB launcher though... so at least I'm not completely out of luck... though I needs me mah tfc fix!

I guess not being able to spend hours and hours on it has kept me more focused on my own game development though. That's a plus..

My friend, it is going awesome! Much artwork done, the entire board is done, almost an entire deck completed. I have a well known author interested in doing short stories based on my characters and world.. very exciting!

I will have a web site up soon...
