It haven't seen snow in TFC ... well... ever! This is fantastic! I can only imaging how incredible it will be with new wildlife added. The winter will not only be a dangerous place because of the cold, but also with the JABBERWOCKY roaming about

Another nice aspect of the snow is that slows down movement, which finally gives me a reason to put a roof over my head in Peaceful mode!

I'm wrong about that, it was just chunk load/render lag. Once everything was loaded my movement was unaffected by the snow. Too bad.

Snow does in fact slow your movement down proportionally to the depth of the snow.

I remember the first World I spawned in with TFC had lots of snow and it slowed me down. Best thing since playing minecraft.

I totally forgot about that movement! Haha. I remember bad things happening to cars bearing California license plates back in the 80s. I remember my uncle used to fly a Cascadia flag from his porch too.

Don't worry. While there is a certain logic behind Cascadia, I prefer to remain yoked to the rest of Canada. Those Americans have some disturbing habits, such as their spelling of "honour" and "flavour".

BC wants to quit Canada to form Cascadia. Alberta wants to leave and join the US. Quebec wants to leave and join France. The Maritimes want to leave and...just be the Maritimes, I guess.

All the different regions of Canada want to leave. It's that shared commonality of purpose which binds us all together.

I lived in Alberta (Calgary) for almost 6 months and LOOVE it! I love it so much in fact I would never want Alberta to become a part of the U.S. simply for that fact that it would get ruined. The US is good like that.

I've been to Canada many many times. It seems like everyone there is just super friendly... Except for Quebec. Plenty of assholes there, nice people to, but some assholes as well.

Then you've obviously never been to a Toronto Blue Jays game. The fans there rival the fans in Philidephia for rudeness and drunken idiocy. I was pretty appalled at their behaviour. I thought Canucks only got like that when they lose the Stanley Cup finals.

I don't think Quebec would make it very far from an economical standpoint... You guys spend much more money than you generate, and without the rest of the country, you'd be broke pretty quick.

Alberta on the other hand... They could make threats. They're the richest province in the country

I was taking a bit of artistic license, but there is also some historical context. After De Gaul gave his "Vive le Quebec libre!" speech in 1967 some separatist leaders talked to him about Quebec forming some kind of association with France. De Gaul was aghast at the idea that provincials, with their mangled French, would consider themselves an equal to mighty France. Basically, De Gaul was a bigoted prick, no matter what language you spoke.
