      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Cant allocate more memory

I'm currently having a problem were I can not change the default allocated memory. At default memory, I run at around 50-60 frames most of the time but can get up to 150-180, but that's usually pretty rare and only happens when I'm not moving much or generating chunks, but I keep getting random lag spikes that get worse each time. Whenever I try to allocate more memory, the launcher will disappear and nothing will happen. If I try to force update my game, it will either download the files and close the launcher without launching the game, or it will start to download some of the files but about halfway through, it stops and gives me an error that says "Failed to install TerraFirmaCraft. An unknown error occurred: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: http//www.terrafirmacraft.com/index.php?sdmon=files/TFCraft-Universal-Core-B2-Build76Hotfix18.zip" I don't know if this is something with my computer or if it is a bug or known problem. Edit: If anyone needs additional information, I will try to provide all that I can.

How much memory are you trying to allocate?

If you have 32bit java, then you can only allocate about 1,3GB RAM.

oh, I'm pretty sure I only have 32bit java installed. I'm going to try to install 64bit. I'll respond right after.

It worked. I installed 64bit java and I can now allocate more than the default amount. Thanks for the help.
