      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Lags out then shuts off

Hey guys, whenever i try to play the game, I will go into the settings to change some of them to less lag, then the screen goes black and shuts off. I've tried installing optifine but i can't find the good link that actually works. Optifine.net download does not work. Any suggestions?

What do you mean when you say it doesn't work? Was the website down at the time? This is the version that you need if you want to install Optifine with TFC.

Another suggestion to decrease lag is to increase your minimum memory allocation to 1024.

ok thanks and when i say it doesnt work is like i load the world, then it crashes does not say crashed and where crash report is it just closes.

i did that download before but i will try again. also, when i put the optifine download into the mods folder in the tfcraft folder, should i do anything else?

Optifine does not go into the mods folder. It goes into the Minecraft.jar

 

It also must be put into the jar after Forge and PlayerAPI. Forge 1st, then PlayerAPI, with optifine last.

ok i get it now i just put it in the folder, not any of the sub folders

ok now i put it in the right folder but its not working the extra options are not popping up and i cant stay on looking at options long or it freezes.

If you are using the TFC launcher and you put Optifine in the jarmods folder along with forge and playerAPI, you need to edit the file called loadorder.txt and put the exact filename of optifine at the bottom of the list.
