      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Anvil trouble

6 posts in this topic

Hey guys

I downloaded this mod several days ago, and I am constanly discovering more and more of the mod, which is great! Only problem is, getting my first pickaxe...I've deforestated every forest and killed every cow and sheep available, so it's time to mine.I've searched a DOZEN times for a smithing tutorial on how to use the (new, I think) anvil GUI, I can't figure it out :/I've gone through the whole process of collecting and smelting ore (bismuth in the picture) and created an ingot from the crafting screen (I saw ppl on YT do it very differently, like smith is, but I didn;t have to), also I created the plans for the pickaxe/prospick, and put them in the anvil GUI as shown in the picture. Yet no rules to be seen, the green marker doesn't move when I hit the green/red buttons. Also, I saw in earlier videos that the anvil GUI had pictures as where to put an ingot and where to put your plans. (I tried the ingot and plans on ALL fields, none worked). Im quite annoyed :/ Why doesn't it work?Hope some one can help me...

Thanks for the quick reaction. Ive tried it again with Tin on Hot*** temperature, but nothing happenend (see picture link). I also tried the casting, but everytime I heat the unshaped metal (in a ceramic mold) to liquid, I right click it, it gives that screen, and then it won't fill the mold (attachment). The arrow just stays at the end... (the unshaped metal is liquid and Ive tried it with multiple molds)I hope its just a silly mistake I make  http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/2272/w7x8.pngEDIT:I see the problem with casting now. I can only use copper for that... But then again, its really tough to get copper melting to Orange****, plus its hard to find copper, so I do prefer the smithing my gear... but thats not working  :(

Find at least 10 "native copper nuggets" or tetra.  Melt them in a vessel.  Pour them in a mold.  Pour the mold into a tool mold.  Watch Dunk's video for a walkthrough or read the link aliceingame provided.
