      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Alternate progression paths to tier 5 metals and above

I'm sure everyone has experienced getting blocked at the steel age, unable to progress further because they are unable to find Gabbro, or, if they do, unable to find Garnierite in said gabbro.  I'm not suggesting making black steel easier, but perhaps add an alternative progression path like "White Steel" that would be an alloy of Platinum (currently unused), Steel, and a tier 2 alloy.  This would mean that you could at least progress in a couple ways, thereby increasing the chance of finding the materials you need to progress, without cheapening black steel or red/blue steel.

 

And then we could have rainbow steel that would be an alloy of all 4 colored steels!  (I'm kidding, I promise!)

I has aways bothered me that we don't use platnium.... possibly
