      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Just yesterday I downloaded the recent version of Terrafirma.... (e.e I didn't even know there was an update for like months.) Annnddd everything is going well EXCEPT!! I can't friggen figure out how to put down straw, now I've tried placing with with there being pottery there (that didn't work). I tried it WITHOUT pottery there (still didn't work =_=). I tried it everywhere around my house (STILL DOES NOT WORK!!!!).

So can someone help me out, because I'm honestly going to end up tossing my laptop somewhere if I can't get this crap in order. (>'.'<) Peez and thank you!

You should be able to put straw down (not thatch) with the right-click while holding the straw.  The thatch looks like a block while the straw looks kinda like a wheat.  Every time you put down some straw, it will fill up the block a bit and you'll need 15 of those to fill up one block.

 

So, shift-right-click to place unfired clay items, right-click with the straw to place 15 straw, then place a full log pile on top of that, and light it with a fire starter.

.......I know what straw looks like. But the issue is I CAN'T PLACE IT DOWN!!! I've tried shifting with right clicking, all types of stuff.. nothing is working :(. Thanks for trying though.

Are you sure that you're cursor is on the pottery when you are placing it? That is the only time that straw can be placed.

I thought so too, so I moved it to the side of the block so I could see that it's not.

Soooo yeah :/ turns out I'm slow, because I was just throwing them in there not right-clicking them. :DD Thanks for the help anyway!!
