      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[SOLVED] 0.77.19 Fruit Tree Sapling Exploit

I have figured out an exploit that allows for infinitely regrowing fruit trees, as a result and infinite supply of saplings for a fruit tree.

 

Note: This was tested on a multiplayer setup with Banana Trees on the last day in April during daylight.

 

How to reproduce:

1 - Find a mature fruit tree (Banana was used to produce this effect)

2 - With an axe, chop the branches just like you are normally getting saplings. All that should be left is the main trunk, and some leaves around it.

3 - Now starting at the top of the trunk, slowly cut each block that is current at the top.

4 - When the trunk gets to 2 or 3 blocks above the ground you will see magic happen.

5 - The tree with transform back into a full tree with leaves and the sapling branches.

6 - Repeat setup 2-5 until bored.

The fruit tree instant-regrow tended to happen in 77.17, too. It was actually annoying, as I wanted to move my fruit tree grove to another spot.
