      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

When will Build 78 be released?

I'm not demanding the exact day of the release. I only want an estimation, as I need it in order to know when I can start working on my maps. I can't wait, and no, I wont make a map in build 77 to have to remake it for build 78. So I'd be thankful if someone gives me an estimation.

I figure we won't have an update until the end of winter, or somewhere in the middle of spring, as Mr. Dunkleosteus is planning some significant overhauls in the next set of updates.

And also, what is coming in build 78? I heard of things like armor stands and move-able barrels. I just want to know if theirs anything else that is significant.

I do have to applaud the nesting boxes for chickens. And the straw beds especially, I had to cheat my last world to get a bed. I couldn't find any sheep.

I'm really down with this fact, probably won't play until it's released

maybe possible to save houses by MCedit?

(if so, someone could kindly post a tutorial about it...:P)

in the other hand, will be fair, because of the new ore generation, y60 bug made it all too easy...

You could save your houses with MCEdit but if the block ID's change, your basalt house may be made of raw fish when you log back in lol

I've been doing some work with MCEdit.  It doesn't really warrant  a special tutorial, it just works, but I talk a little bit about it (and World Painter) here

Why?

 

I like hot springs?

I just like hot baths, and minecraft water gives me a feeling of 'cold'

I'm the guy that makes cauldrons in vanilla minecraft, then puts them over burning netherrack to get a hot bath. I like hot baths, so I like hot springs.

You already said 'I want to bath in hot springs', so I have the choice of not doing anything, or saying something like, 'me too' or 'I want to as well' or whatever, you get me.

 

I wonder, will they have some sort of positive effects when you jump in? Or will they just be puddles of water? They look different from normal water, but will that just be textures?

Extrafirma is unofficial, so we don't really have any reason to keep features or items in just for compatibility. In a way, it's sort of beaten us to the punch, most of the features in it are planned for development in the mod, although often in slightly different ways. We've been focusing on larger-scale updates and changes though, so the things that extrafirma adds aren't scheduled until later.
