      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

As some of you may know I've not been well the past two weeks. Because of that I haven't done much work on the new server (sorry!).

I've added most of the stuff that needs protecting with Towny and Lockette and am now generating tiles in Dynmap. Once that is done I'll select a location for the spawn building and maze, put it in and get things ready for the testers to join.

In the mean time, do me a favor and send me your Minecraft in game name so I can add you to the whitelist if you are willing to do test work.

Apparently there are two TFC 0.79.29.922 versions floating around. It has been brought to our attention that the TFC devs released a hot fix for this version without increasing the version number. Because of this we've been running a buggy version of TFC for almost two years. But fortunately this has only affected seven and a half thousand TFC players or so who had to use a scythe to harvest their crops. It's not the first time our server had a crazy quirk like that. Remember when we had "black gold" on our server? We'll just chalk this one up as being part of the HappyDiggers TFC charm :)

Now that we are running the new, same version. Harvesting crops should go a bit better.

So things got a bit delayed on the TnFC server front. Health issues. Family issues. Other things. You know how life goes. But fret not. The HappyDiggers TnFC server is still in development!

A bunch of config stuff got done. A suitable spawn area has been found and terraformed. And, of course, the spawn building has been placed there. Tenterro has agreed to help out and build some awesome looking bridges around spawn.

A lot has happened the past year. For one we got new server hardware and are now running on a new AMD Threadripper system.

We have opened up the TnFC server to our VIP members and donors. They can now play-test the new TnFC server. For those able and wanting to join, you can grab TechnodeFirmacraft 3.6 from the ATLauncher. When installing choose recommended mods but be sure to uncheck the prattle chat mod as that is known to crash clients.

There is no ETA for public release yet. We'd like to get a few players into end game stuff and try to fix any issues we encounter before we remove the whitelist.

We have updated the HappyDiggers TFC server to TerraFirmaCraft 0.79.30.925.

Thanks dries for all the changes you put in :) We haven't done a lot of testing yet but things seem to be running a lot smoother than before.

In preparation of the TnFC server launch we have changed the rules for both TFC server to match those of the new TnFC server. We are now allowing towns to have more resources than before:

20 mature animals total.
4 plots (1024 blocks) of tiled soil farmland instead of 3.
10 fruit trees instead of 8
5 outpots instead of 3
5 /sethome points instead of 1

The cool down period on teleports has been removed and towns now get 32 plots per resident instead of 16.

New additions to the rules are:
No chunk loaders allowed. Any kind of chunk loading without the player present must be avoided.
Player builds server CPU usage are fair use. Staff will determine what is fair use. If one of your builds lags the server, you may be asked to change things.

We are pleased to announce that the new HappyDiggers public TechNode Firmacraft 3.6 server is now open! TnFC is a tech mod pack based around the (unofficial) TerraFirmaCraft mod. It's a challenging mod that has a lot to offer players who enjoy both TFC and tech mods.

Our server currently runs version 3.6 of TnFC which you can get through the ATLauncher. There is a share code on our Servers page but we haven't had much luck with those. Instead we recommend you create a new instance of TnFC 3.6 yourself and don't install the optional mods unless you know what you're doing. The optional mods are mostly client-side cosmetics and not required to join our server.

We strongly suggest you remove the prattle and weather2 mods. You should also install OptiFine and update Fastcraft to version 1.25 or later. Both for Minecraft 1.7.10.

We're constantly evaluating server performance and try to adapt what we can and can't do with that. We're now increasing the Towny plots per resident to 64 and fruit trees per town to 16.

We have changed the amount of Town plots each resident of a Town gets for bot TFC and TnFC servers. (Although on the TFC server we got a complaint from the biggest town not liking that. We're reviewing this atm.) For now all Town residents bring 64 town plots for the town they are in. These plots offer protection from mobs and players that are not a part of your town.

The following is meant for the TnFC server only.

We understand that in some situations the amount of plots may not be enough. Perhaps you want to play alone or just with a friend in a town. For those players who need more plots but "can't" get them we've opened a thread on our forum where they can request more plots.

Scenario's for this may be a town inside of mountains but you'd like the valley below for cattle. Or perhaps you've settled on a small-ish island but mobs keep spawning on the beach. Or perhaps you'd like to follow natural borders like a river. Things like that.

I've updated the TechNode Firmacraft server to version 3.7.1. It has a bunch of fixes and tweaks which improve quality of life. What it doesn't yet have are up-to-date Fastcraft, Journeymap and OptiFine versions so you'll have to grab those manually.

To play on our server you can get TnFC on the ATLauncher and select the following options:

  • 96 Days
  • HQM Quest Line
  • Streams
  • INpureCore
  • Waila
  • Waila Harvestability
  • Damage Indicators
  • Inventory Tweaks
  • ItemPhysic

If you wish you can install optional mods (listed in a green font) like Dynamic Lights, Better Foliage, Presence Footsteps. Just whatever you do don't install Prattle.


Then manually download these mods and put them in the mods folder of your TnFC instance. It's usually located in the ATLauncher\instances folder in whatever name you gave your TnFC instance.

I noticed that Dries published beta versions of TerraFirmaCraft for Minecraft 1.12. We're thinking about setting up a public server for this.
