      Server Move   09/13/18

I (Dries007) have recently taken over as main developer and server admin. This involved moving servers to reduce cost. It's likely there will be some more downtime in the future but most  things should be sorted by now. This forum is in dire need of replacement as the software is quite old and can't be easily updated. If you wish to discuss or stay updated, join our discord: https://invite.gg/terrafirmacraft. The forum will remain available to read, but will be locked in the future, when a new system is setup. The forum and wiki are now ad free. If you'd like to contribute to keeping it that way, you can do so via paypal or patreon.

Crashing on startup

You're only giving it 512Mb of RAM. I would suggest at least 1Gb.

Also, you have 2 different -Xmx flags "-Xmx1G -Xmx512M"

You should make sure to clear any extra arguments you have set in your launcher, and just use one argument "-Xmx1G"

I have had this problem too. I noticed that it only really happens when I start my world in a dense jungle or Sequoia forest, sometimes I can get it to work, other times I can't. Eventually I just gave up and created a new world, but try to avoid dense jungles of Sequoia Forests.

How do I change the amount of ram I am giving it?

Open up the vanilla launcher, select your TFC profile and then click Edit Profile. The very last option on the Profile Editor is JVM Arguments. Make sure that box is checked, and that you don't have any duplicate arguments in it. It looks like right now you've got both -Xmx1G and -Xmx512M in that box, delete -Xmx512M. If you don't have both of those in that box, then you've done something really weird to screw up the java default settings, like running a program you probably shouldn't have.
