      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Minutor Block Pack TFC 0.78.17

Hi Folks,

 

i was searching for something like this all over the net, didn't find anything, so I made one myself:

 

Minutor (a Minecraft 2D Map viewer downloadable here: http://seancode.com/minutor/) supports mapping modded blocks to colours. Since most blocks in TFC are customized, the map usually looks quite pink (=unknown blocks), So - I have made a custom block pack for the TFC blocks and re-coloured the most important blocks (grass, stone and water).

 

Feel free to modify the Block Pack, and if you have nicer colours for the blocks that have a default colour of 0F0F0F, upload your block pack here to share it.

 

To use the block pack with minutor, simply unpack the zip into the minutor directory and then load it using View - Manage Definitions - Add Pack. Then refresh your map using F5 and most of the pink should vanish :)

 

Edit: I have just noticed that some ids are still missing ( -> pink blocks here and there), so there seem to be some ids that are not in the TFC.cfg file. If anybody has a complete list of ids, post it here and I'll put them into the file.

Looks like it can come in handy, one of the blocks you're missing, id 2124, is a leaf-block from the new trees, kapok and chestnut etc.

But you didn't really add the different ores and minerals, so you can see where there is a vein but not what you can find there.

I made a pack with just the important ores and minerals a while ago. But I'm not really sure if the mods would be ok with sharing information like that, they have a thing against sharing detailed numbers and mechanisms since it takes away some of charm etc. Which I completely understand. Even though you can just find the id's in the ore-config file.

So I'll wait until one of them sees this and gives it the ok before uploading.

Block and Item IDs are public knowledge. You don't have to worry about posting them.

Thanks fregorach for the ore ids. I have not put the variant ids of anything into the block pack, just ran a regex replace over the tfc.cfg and then picked out the obvious blocks and coloured them to get an idea of what a map looks like.

In case anybody is interested in a refined version of the block pack, let me know and I'll put it up when i have tweaked it a little more.

 

Does anybody know how to get the correct biome names into minutor?

 

BTW, a huge thanks to the TFC mod-team for making this mod, it really puts minecraft to the next level! I have added optifine (to reduce lag) and better sprinting (so i can outrun the mobs ;)

Thx guys for the effort - I was using minutor without definitions and now it looks better

 

@Plofre: (some feature requests)

1. pink are still weeds (fresh and salt water weeds 2141:0) and TFC fences (2113:xx)

2. fruit tree leaves and bushes are black (if you'll be doing more coloring)

3. variants definition with stone types would be great

 

@fregorach: thanks for ore ID definition, I filled somemissing ones and gave it coloring closer to my BlockHeads resource pack and I will share it here, but still thanks for great part you did

Your guess is as good as mine on where to find them. It's not like they are listed all in one file neatly screaming "HERE I AM!"

Hi AllI modified the original Plofre's file. I added some ids and colored some others:-Added all types of stones, cobblestones, smooth stones and bricks (every color is the avarage from every stone texture).-Added all types of dirts and sands (every color is the avarage from every  texture).-Added all ores and minerals (colored by aproximation for functionality).-Added kapoc leaves and wood-Colored clay-Colored grass (normal,clay, peat and dry)-Colored water plants-Colored GoldenrodsI think that's all. Enjoy it

It would be awesome if someone could recreate this pack for build 79. Or would spare some time to show me how to do it and where to find the block ID's. I learn pretty quickly just have no idea whatsoever how to start such process.
