It says that when either of the dev's birthdays come up on the in game calendar; I'm not sure which days their birthdays are but it's likely not his actual birthday atm.. since the days in game are much quicker than in real life. xD

It just turns out that both days fall in the 8-day-month calendar.

It's never to early to celebrate a birthday. I usually just celebrate my birth month, all 31 days of it. And if I REALLY need an excuse for eating that cheesecake, I can say that  my birth month is part of this year, so its my birth year as well.

I'm pretty sure it just circles the same way as a real calendar. So if January 1st is on Sunday, January 8th is also on Sunday and the next day, February 1st is on Monday. Just because the month starts over doesn't mean the week does too.

 

Edit: For clarification, here's what the first 7 months of the year would look like if January first was on a Sunday

I did not realize this, mostly because durring the night I'm mining (or runing, yup runing)  and don't look up at the sky as much.  Thanks for the link.
