      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Right click on the females. Does it still say that they are pregnant? Did it say that they were pregnant right after you bred them originally?

If it says pregnant, then it hasn't been an in-game year since you bred them. It takes 4 in-game months before they will give birth. The next time that you breed them, write down the date so that you know exactly when they will give birth. Also, if you've changed the yearLength in the configs since you bred them, it is probably going to take a different amount of time.

What did you change it to? You need to make it less than 96 if you wanted them to give birth faster.

It should also be noted that baby chickens take less than a month to hatch. So you'll be able to get at least 5 sets of baby chickens before any other animals give birth.

It takes 3 in-game months for all baby animals to reach adulthood, including chickens.

Your year length is supposed to be a multiple of 12 days

i.e 48 is fine (albeit really short)

96 is default. If you want default, use 96

360 is the closest setting to Earth

Uh, yearLenght MUST be a multiple of twelve. That's why it explicitly says that in the config file. Neither 50 or 92 are multiples of 12. 50/12 = 4.16666666 and 92/12 = 7.66666. Neither of those are integers, so you're going to have lots of weird issues with the calendar and your game will probably crash at one point or another.

Edit: Here are numbers that are multiples of 12:

  • 24
  • 36
  • 48

Could you post a copy of the crash report please? Either put it in spoiler tags or upload it to pastebin.com and give us the link.

Something else to keep in mind is that a shorter year length also means that the seasons will be a lot shorter. With the default year length it takes 32 real-life hours to go through an entire year without sleeping in a bed, which comes out to be about 8 real-life hours for each season. If you pick a shorter year length like 48, that means it will only take 16 real-life hours in order to go through an entire year, which comes out to only 4 real-life hours for each season. In my opinion, that goes by pretty fast and you don't really get to enjoy each part. And if you're skipping every single night by sleeping in a bed, it cuts all of those times in half.

That crash report has absolutely nothing to do with changes to the calendar. It was simply a vanilla chunk error. Try restarting the game and loading it again and it shouldn't crash a second time.
