      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Vanilla sugarcane is spawning near bodies of water and acting as it does in Vanilla, but seems to be effectively useless in TFC. However, wild TFC sugarcane is also spawning, as per TFC plant behavior, and drops TFC seeds as expected. This is a new map, generated using this build of TFC.Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: YesDo you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: YesIf yes, which mods?

This is not a bug. Vanilla sugarcane is not called sugarcane even in vanilla(even though they give sugar :blink:), they are reeds. I understand this can be confusing, however I opted to leave them spawning for compatibility.

Sorry don't mean to contradict you, as I am extremely impressed and grateful for what you have created... however "reeds" are technically called "Sugar Canes" in vanilla (at least in 1.7+ ive never played vanilla 1.6). I have heard they were originally called "Reeds" though.

I wasn't sure if they were left in for compatibility or by accident, hence my initial tagging of "potential bug". The name change in the latest version definitely make their inclusion look completely intentional.

In the code, and all internal references when modding, they are referred to as "Reeds". The only place they are actually called "Sugar Canes" is in the language files, which puts the name on the tooltip of the item when you look at it in your inventory.

Just messing with NEI and now with them changed to "Reeds" we cannot make paper anymore. Is there plans to return that, as having a writable book is nice to have. ;)
