Option 2 : 2/10

Given:

Fractions are: 3/5, 2/10, 1/3 and 4/15

Calculation:

L.C.M of 5, 10, 3, 15 is 30

So, \( {3 \over 5} = { 18\over 30} \)

\( {2 \ \over 10} = {6\ \over 30}\)

\( {1 \ \over 3} = {10 \ \over 30}\)

\( {4 \ \over 15} = {8 \ \over 30}\)

So, from the above fractions, we conclude that

\( {3 \over 5} = { 18\over 30} \) > \( {1 \ \over 3} = {10 \ \over 30}\) > \( {4 \ \over 15} = {8 \ \over 30}\) > \( {2 \ \over 10} = {6\ \over 30}\)

∴ 2/10 is the smallest fraction.

__Alternate Method__

As. 3/5 = 0.6, 2/10 = 0.2, 1/3 = 0.33, 4/15 = 0.27

∴ 2/10 is the smallest fraction.
