      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Firepit put out in rain under thatch blocks

8 posts in this topic

Version #: 0.79.6.245SSP/SMP (Single/MultiPlayer): SSPSuggested Name: Firepit put out in rain under thatch blocksSuggested Category: MinorDescription:

Thatch blocks do not stop rain from putting out firepits.Have you deleted your config files and are still able to reproduce this bug?: Yes

*If you answered no to the above question, delete your config files and try to reproduce the bug. This question is here because many bugs are caused by mistakes in config files. All bug reports should have an answer of "Yes" to this question.Do you have any mods other than Forge and TFC installed?: YesIf yes, which mods?

Fastcraft 1.9

MapWriter 2.1.2If you have Optifine or Cauldron installed, can you still reproduce the bug after uninstalling them?*Both Optifine and Cauldron edit the base classes of forge that TFC uses. Because of this, we cannot officially support any issues that happen only when these mods are installed.Pastebin.com link of the Crash Report: No crash

Same as above, thatch is stopping the rain particles but the firepit slowly decreases temp and goes out. Regardless of having it full of logs.

I did report this in the other Thatch tread; got answered by Kitty that it was fixed in one of the now past versions; seems like it's still around.

Didn't have the chance to test though ...

I believe the other fix was for barrels filling with water under thatch, haven't seen any code changes for the firepit though.

But wouldn't the thatch block need to be fixed instead of the firepit? If so, than the barrel bug fix would have solved this problem too.But then again, I don't understand much about coding ...

Before I checked on this topic, I took down the thatch over the firepit & replaced it with glass.  Fire still goes out.

That's unfortunately a side effect of glass blocks being transparent. All the firepit is looking for is if it can see the sky, and things can see the sky through glass.
