      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Debris Duping

TFC Build 79.7, recommended Forge.

 

Every time I break or right-click debris in vanilla TFC I see two sticks/small ores/rocks drop.  Picking them up results in only acquiring one of them, and the false item disappears.  The duplication is only visual in this case.  

- Definitely buggy, but mostly just annoying.

 

However, when I do the same thing with IC2, Gregtech, CCC, and NEI installed, the duplication is not visual, it actually happens, and I pick up two of the sticks/small ores/rocks.  

- Definitely buggy, and seriously compounded by doubling pick-up rate and availability of your first copper ores.

 

This did not happen in 79.6 with what had been the latest forge (two versions later than the recommended version).

 

Edit:  Tested with all mods mentioned above except GT.  GT is the mod that makes the dupe more than just visual.

I had the same problem, came to the same conclusions.

 

However it stopped after about 2 hours of game play and I couldn't reproduce it in that single session.

First of all, only use the version of forge that tfc is compiled on. If using any other version, I cant help you. Secondly, remove ALL mods and reproduce this. I don't see this happening and I'm not getting widespread reports so unless I hear otherwise, this is not a TFC issue. Also, I cant cause this to happen on my own so if it IS happening in vanilla TFC then I need far more details. Also I'm locking this thread because it was not formatted correctly. Had you used the template provided here I would at least have had some proper details to help me test this.
