      Server Move   09/13/18

      I (Dries007) have recently taken over as main developer and server admin. This involved moving servers to reduce cost. It's likely there will be some more downtime in the future but most  things should be sorted by now. This forum is in dire need of replacement as the software is quite old and can't be easily updated. If you wish to discuss or stay updated, join our discord: https://invite.gg/terrafirmacraft. The forum will remain available to read, but will be locked in the future, when a new system is setup. The forum and wiki are now ad free. If you'd like to contribute to keeping it that way, you can do so via paypal or patreon.

Is it posible to use the vanilla minecraft music in TFC?

4 posts in this topic

I'm not really keen on the music of TFC, and would very much like to go back to the old minecraft music. And yes I know I can find it on Youtube but I prefer to have it in game and for it to play randomly while I play.

I tought that I may be able to do something with the resources folder, but I can't find where the music may be.

Any help, even a mod to add music would be appreciated. I have looked for a few but to no success.

Yes... partially. I have intercut the different songs of vanilla (.minecraftassetsvirtuallegacy*.ogg) and

TFC (.minecraftmodsTFC-0.78.17.jarassetsterrafirmacraftsoundmm0.ogg ... m4.ogg)

to five samples together and named it m0.ogg ... m4.ogg.

These files you have to copy in .minecraftmodsTFC-0.78.17.jarassetsterrafirmacraftsoundmm0.ogg ... m4.ogg and replace the older.

So you have a remix of minecraft and TFC-music or what ever you want.

Unfortunately you have to collect all you music in these five files.

For B79+

You can also use the "assets/terrafirmacraft/sounds.json" file to add any kind of .ogg music file you would like to hear in TFC.

Just copy your .ogg music files to the "assets/terrafirmacraft/sounds/music" directory in the TFC .jar file and edit/add them to the sounds.json file. They will then get loaded on game start.

example:

"music.tfc": {    "category": "music",    "sounds": [	    {"name": "music/m0", "stream": true},	    {"name": "music/m1", "stream": true},	    {"name": "music/m2", "stream": true},	    {"name": "music/m3", "stream": true},	    {"name": "music/m4", "stream": true},	    {"name": "music/m5", "stream": true}    ]}

where "music/m5" is your music file. Do NOT add a "," to the last line !

Have fun :)
