      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Crash Upon World Generation [Large Biome]

7 posts in this topic

Hello, I am experiencing a crash when I try to generate large biome world types.  This problem has been happening to me for a couple versions now.  I am using the vanilla launcher with the recommended forge version.  It occurs even if I remove my other mods and just use TFC and Forge.  It also continues to occur even after a fresh install.  Increasing ram usage in my minecraft profile in the vanilla launcher has no effect [i have 32 gigs of DDR3 RAM].  I have updated my video card driver and x64 Java.

The mods I am using at the moment:

Damage Indicators 3.2.0

FastCraft 1.9

Journey Map 4.0.5

Optifine 1.7.10 HD U A4

Forge

TFC 79.8

As I said earlier, even if I just strip it down to TFC and Forge, on a fresh install, the game will still crash after attempting to generate large biome worlds.  Its been happening since build 79 first rolled out.

Large biomes are vanilla world gen and so aren't compatible with TFC. You have to use TFC generation option.

This. There is no fancy world generations for TFC. No such thing as large biomes, or a flat world.

Ah, I see ok then.  It used to work before [or at least seemed like it was] so I always figured it was meant to be a TFC equivalent option.  Thank you.

Possibly, but definitely not worth the time and effort required. It already defaults to TFC worldgen when the mod is present in the instance.

There is already a proposed fix to remove the Large Biome world type from the selection list...
