      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I just run around paying attention to the rock formations, every once in a while I stumble on some ore... Prospecting is not an option, I'm too lazy for that.

Prospectors pick gives you a vague idea of what is in a box 25x25x13 centered on the block you clicked. By moving 12 blocks NSEW and 6 blocks up n down you can home in on a vein.

Remember that the pick is not 100% accurate, and may give 'nothing found' as a reply when not true, so take a sample from several blocks in a location to get an average

The prospector pick is just a small help but when you found once cassiterite or somthing what you can smelt in a firepit and work on a stone avil i would prefer to look to the rock formations or walking through some cave, to find copper or something like that.

Usually I punch rocks until they give me a mineral. When they give me cassiterite, I first use the Porspector's pick where the rock was, so I can understand if the ore is far or near the place where the rock was. Then I dig down with a shovel and mine some stone around, still using the Propick. The last time I made this, I found a very large deposit of Cassiterite.

You really need to look at the date of the last post, it's three months old. And someone really need to start locking topics that are no longer active, to prevent these things from happening all the time. =P
