Copper Tools

Hey there,

 

I've been playing around with TFC for a few weeks now.

Yesterday I finally had the resources to make myself a copper saw and a pickaxe, 10 Tetrahedrite and 10 native copper nuggets.

But everytime I try melting either 10 Tetrahedrite, 10 Copper or a 50/50 mix with a vessel and the pitkiln no molten copper is in the vessel after the pitkiln burned out.

Is that normal or a bug?

Because on .78 I could just make copper tools that way.

Hi there! Just so you know, your post breaks the rules for reporting bugs, which can be found here.

Now, as to your issue, I tried melting 10 copper and got 100 units, 10 tetrahydrite and got 100 units, 10 copper and 10 tetrahydrite and got 200 units, and 5 copper and 5 tetrahydrite and got 100 units. So if there's a bug, I don't see it. Could you please make a more formal bug report so that we can see if it's a TFC or forge version issue, or something caused by other mods. Could you also please be more specific about what steps you take to melt the nuggets. Maybe you're not doing it correctly?

put your vessel with the copper into the pit kiln along with something else, like a second clay vessel to burn. if the clay vessel did get burnt by the pit kiln and the ore inside the other didnt melt then something is wrong. if the new clay vessel didnt get burnt you have screwed up the process somehow. Note that it is sometimes a single click on the lit fire that removes a log from it and therefore the pit kiln doesnt burn long enough to finish the process. happened to me a few times already. also if you are playing on a server they might have changed the time for the pit kiln to burn and you would have to feed in more logs. anyway, if you add something else from clay to burn in the pit kiln you will instantly see if it should have worked.
