      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I'm not refering to the natural caves, i'm refering to a structure called "dragon's cave", which rarely generates, it is a gaint cave very rich in resources, and the dragons can only spawn there.

On the other hand, if they were asian dragons -those serpent like dragons-, i'm sure they would fit in a normal TFC cave :P

ok from what i've seen of things

Basilisks are gigantic snakes that can kill you just by looking at you

Wyverns are smaller than dragons and usually can't breathe fire

Wyrms, well i dont really know much about wyrms but i thought that was just another name for dragons

Basilisks are serpentine draconic monsters with a deadly gaze attack.

Wyverns are like dragons, but a different species.

Wyrms are kind of like degenerate dragons. Think big, slimy, firebreathing, amphibious worm with stunted limbs. Wyrms are just kind of gross, if you ask me.

Shall I clear this up?

A 'true' dragon - hereafter we shall use the european mythologies, because the more eastern takes on this are entirely different and not relevant to this discussion - is an animal with a lithe feline skeletomuscular structure, thick and heavily scaled hide, an elongated tail often taking up its own body length or longer, a swan-like elongated neck, and 6 total limbs; these being 2 semi-plantigrade forelegs, 2 digitigrade hindlegs (often but not always sporting a large dewclaw), and 2 extremely large membranous wings, whose span often exceeds the creature's bodylength even with the tail included.

A basilisk is an entirely unrelated creature, entirely reptilian (short and squat, legs out to the side rather than under it, tail used for balance), which lives in dark places and possesses a medusa-like supernatural ability to turn any sighted organism to an unspecified rock type by locking gazes with it.

A wyvern is an evolutionary cousin to true dragons, sort of like the Neanderthal to a dragon's Homo Sapiens. Less intelligent by quite a margin, they are also more avian than a true dragon, having wings INSTEAD of arms, rather than in addition to them. Wyverns are for all intents and purposes simply enormous birds of prey, with scales instead of feathers. In some mythologies, either their bites or tailtips are highly poisonous.

A Wyrm (not a Wurm) is -in my experience- a true dragon of immense age, size, and power. Like most crocodillians, a true dragon will never die of age, but will instead simply grow larger and stronger until they fall victim to disease, predation, or unhappy chance. Exceptionally long-lived dragons are often referred to as Wyrms, and can reach incredible proportions. Don't fuck with them.

I tried. My pocket protector got singed in the ensuing explosion of knowledge and D&D.

I still try sometimes :P

I'm nerdy in the extreme

Whiter than sour cream

I was in AV club and Glee club and even the chess team

Only question I

Ever thought was hard

Was do I like Kirk

Or do I like Picard?

Spend every weekend at the renaissance faire

Got my name on my underwear

Memorized.

ghoS Daq jIH, loDnI'

and i thought villager trading was bad enough

erh well seing as they're nether wyrms, they're all evil and stuff so it'd be an either you kill them or they kill you thing

also, dragon scale armor? gives fire resistance but its excrutiatingly difficult to collect the resourses for and make

That's it, i'm starting the Organization Against Dragon Slaying (OADS). Dragons have rights too! Stop killing them just for the sake of safety and unlimited rewards! D:<
