[Breaks Rule #2] Clamming and slow cooking

I have quite a few ideas, but I will start with these and see how they take. They are different but related, and I haven't seen them specifically listed. If they are, I apologize.

 

1. Experience increases how long you can hold your breath.

 

  Seems the most logical way to make the next suggestion possible.

 

2. Introduce clams to seawater biomes.

 

  Quick food, better than seaweed, harder to get. Harvest with a knife. Higher xp means you can harvest more without drowning.

 

3. Wrap meat in seaweed, place in clayfiring pit and cover, instant slow cooker.

 

  Perhaps you can limit the size of the cut to be cooked, but it seems logical to cook a large amount of meat without babysitting by using this method.

That way your time can be better distributed early on. You can come back to food after a hard days work, instead of scrambling to keep yourself fed.

I imagine this sounds painfully like the smoking or drying system, but I only intend for it cook the food, not preserve.

 

*. Have bears attracted to exposed food.
