      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Breaks Rule #4, #6 and more]Some bugs for b79.15 after couple weeks play

2 posts in this topic

Hi,

I've been playing for some time and I'll post here some possible bugs I've noticed. It's your call to evaluate their severity or fixability.

TFC Version #: 0.79.15.538Forge Version #: 10.13.2.1272

Gameplay: SMP

Other mods:   fastcraft-1.19 and voxelmapNoRadar 1.7.10-1.0

bugs (or features?)1. Milk does not age in barrel (even in unsealed one).2. All mobs consider fence gate as passable block in their pathfinding algorithm. (They all gather there and try to jump it - easy target for XP farming on zombies)3. Process of making anything inside of sealed barrel is stopped when barrel is broken and moved elsewhere. It needs to be placed on ground and resealed to restart the process.4. Cedar leaves destroyed vanilla fence when tree grown from sapling. (Sapling was one block below the fence and first layer of leaves destroyed the fence)5. When refining grain with knife and I SHIFT+CLICK on refined grain, I won't get straw into my inventory, only refined grain. (I get straw only with LEFT CLICK on refined grain)feature ideas1. Equip full barrel/quiver to the back slot by SHIFT + LEFT CLICK. (like armor can be equipped to armor slot)2. Snow blocks could decrease apparent temperature around them (as used in history for food preservation).crashes1. Game crashes (internal server crash - not a client crash, so no log), when I am ingame drunk (3000-4000 mB of alcohol) and try to send some message (longer than couple words) by chat. Short chat messages or messaging from bed is not crashing.

I'm going to lock this thread for a number of reasons, but I will provide you with some answers. Kitty may choose to provide a comment as well.

Please read the rules of the forum. Your report does contain most of the information we require, but there are other key info that you are lacking.  Although it isn't listed, bugs should be listed in separate topics, mixing them together makes them harder to deal with and for others searching to find them. Bugs go in Support section, suggestions go in Suggestion section. Please don't mix the two up. When you go to Suggestion section, please read the rules as one of your suggestions has been suggested many times before.

As for answers.

In general it is best to report bugs you find to the server staff and allow them to escalate this to the TFC devs. I'm going to guess that you are playing on a Cauldron sever. Some of your bugs are likely caused by Cauldron, which alters forge classes that TFC uses. The TFC devs do not support Cauldron. That is why it is listed in the bug reporting template.

1. That is intended. It was a decision by devs due to you being able to add more milk to the barrel. Putting decay on milk would just get needlessly complicated.

2. Kitty will have to comment on this one, but I'm fairly certain this is vanilla AI issue and can't be fixed by TFC devs without fully rewriting mob AI.

3. It isn't that the process is stopped, it was the display of information was not retained. This was reported and fixed for build 0.79.16 http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/7864-barrel-information-retension/ however the the known bugs post was not updated with this one. If the barrel is not actually processing than this is a Cauldron issue.

4. This likely a Cauldron issue. I know that willow leaves were doing this previously and were fixed.

5. From top of Support page.

Note: Due to the way that vanilla Minecraft handles shift clicking, as well as pressing hotbar numbers, any bugs resulting from using these methods will simply be "fixed" by disabling the use of the method.

Kitty will have to comment on this one as well. Previously the knife was lost and you got the grains and straw. I suspect this maybe a limitation in MC and they choose to have straw be deleted instead of Knife.

Crash. That is a Cauldron Issue that has been reported a number of times. Simple search of Drunk would give you this answer.
