      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

StellarSky (Not Working)

19 posts in this topic

Interested in getting this mod to play nice with TFC. Using TFC 79.18, Stellar Sky 1.7a and SciAPI 0.5.2. Identical error with TFC 79.20. Unfortunate because I wanted to use these in tandem on a server that mirrored realtime. I should mention that TFC plays nicely with the Timescale mod. It seems to be affecting the way TFC generates chunks, for some reason.

Could you upload the crash report for TFC 79.20? And please make sure it's the actual crash report, not the console log that you linked.

[00:53:28] [Client thread/INFO] [STDOUT]: [net.minecraft.client.Minecraft:func_71377_b:354]: #@!@# Game crashed! Crash report saved to: #@!@# C:UsersAlexDesktopMultiMCinstancesTechnofirmaminecraftcrash-reportscrash-2015-06-28_00.53.28-server.txt

The console log that you linked makes absolutely no sense on where it says it is crashing, because it looks like it's getting a null pointer exception when trying to load the second rock layer, but if there was going to be any sort of crash with that it would have also crashed when trying to load the first rock layer.

I hope this helps.

I juse stellar sky, and it works just fine for me on 79.20, do you have the stellarium core for stellar sky? Its a dependency for it. (I think that's what the core is called...)

Edit: nevermind about the core file, missed it on my first pass over your post.

It looks like you're using a liteloader+forge combination. Any specific reason why, because I don't see any mods listed on that report that actually require liteloader, and that may very well be the cause of your issue.

SciAPI? I do have it. And just to make sure I added Stellarium, which crashed on startup because you're supposed to use either StellarSky or Stellarium.

VERY WEIRD. What's your forge version?

You are only installing the mod on your client right? If you installed it on a server that could also explain the crash.

Oh darn it, how'd that get in there? I've removed it, let's see how things fare...

Not quite sure what this is:

Generator: RandomLevelSource
Did you check some odd settings when generating a new world or something? Also, is this happening on a pre-existing world, or on any new world that you create?

That crash is usually caused by a player trying to load a dimension that isn't the overworld, which TFC does not support.

Weird weird WEIRD. I'm gonna try generating a world, then turning Stellar on. I'm using the default settings, scout's honour.

Oh for Pete's sake. It just seems that you can't generate a world while the mod is on, but generating a world THEN turning the mod on works fine.

Forgive me resurrection of this thread, but I have a question - is it possible to use Stellar Sky together with TFC?

I didn't get any crash, it is just not working (standard sky, no time console in upper left corner).

Without TFC, Stellar Sky-0.1.3.5 is working properly. with [1.7.10]TerraFirmaCraft-0.79.28.908, Stellar Sky is initializing properly, but seem to be override by TFC.

It is not sure why that one guy had so much hell from it,just make sure you use "StellarSky" not "Stellarium" stellar sky is the client mod and stellarium is the server version of it. Otherwise it should run just fine. it will eat a lot of ram though, so make sure your using enough for it and your other mods.

I'm using Stellar Sky-0.1.3.5.jar togehter with Stellar API-0.1.1.4f.jar and no effects visible if TFC is loaded. Without TFC it is working fine. Maybe config issue?

I'm playing now on server, which have Stellar Sky mod (v.0.1.29) and following strange behaviour was observed - calender is going backward, there was May 1001 yesterday, today morning was March, now is February.

Can anyone confirm such issues? Is it possible, that Stellar Sky time settings interfere with TFC calendar system?

Or maybe something else is messed up?

You need to be sure that the stellar sky year length is set to the same as the tfc year length in the stellar sky config stellar sky is set to 365.5 while tfc default is is 96 or 98 (can't recall)

I just want to point out that TFC just takes the year length you give it and divides it by 12 and that's how many days are in every single month. We don't do any of the "these months have 30 days and those have 31 etc"

I just want to point out that TFC just takes the year length you give it and divides it by 12 and that's how many days are in every single month. We don't do any of the "these months have 30 days and those have 31 etc"

Exactly, I had set 360 days and got 30 February.

BTW, problems with date reversal reported earlier were not directly related with stellar sky, it appear that TFC ambient creatures mod (this with butterflies) is causing problems.
