      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

ATTENTION: Addon Developers

0.79.23 will be releasing relatively soon, and it includes changes that have broken almost all addon compatibility. I would suggest that you start working on updating your addon to work with these changes now, so that players won't have to wait for your addon to update before they can update their game to the newest version of TFC. Your updated addon will obviously not work with the current version of TFC though, so it would be a good idea to not include a download link to the updated version until 0.79.23 has actually released.

Kitty, are there likely to be any further changes that could break mod compatability? Or have you made them all now?

If you are talking about just for .23, I need to make one small change to this commit, which will be getting rid of those arrays entirely, but other than that all breaking changes should be done. If you're talking about for the future of TFC as a whole, I don't have any plans to break mod compatibility in later versions, but I can't make any promises that it won't happen. In most cases though, it would likely only break compatibility for a few addons, and not all of them, and it would be done at the request of an addon developer to make implementing something easier for them with better compatibility.

Edit: I decided I'll just leave those arrays there, even though they aren't used anywhere in the TFC base code anymore. That way addon devs that were using them don't have do mess around with the ore dictionary too if they don't want to.
