      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Jungle climate seed for 79.22?

5 posts in this topic

Played in cold or temperate for most worlds, want to try something with a different challenge. A jungle climate is all I ask, resources nearby is good but not necessary as I like a challenge or can move.

Any biome is fine too, don't hesitate to post anything, I would like to check them all out. =)

I suppose they exist, just like the desert ones do, but in the worlds I've played anytime I get near the equator it's just dry as hell.  Acacia forest is about as close as I've seen.

Jungles (Kapok) are pretty common, if you explore enough and in the right places. However normally you'd need to /tp to the right sort of area. I think I've only ever seen seen one spawn close to a Jungle, I didn't keep the seed however, sorry.

My advice would be to go creative, explore, /tp and explore some more. Then when you have the spot you are looking for, recreate it, /tp directly to the spot and switch modes. Most worlds will have this sort of area in it somewhere.

If you're going to go with the teleportation route, make sure you also use the /spawnpoint command to move your spawn point to that area. So you don't have to keep teleporting back every time you die.

I know this thread is a week old, and do not know if you are still seeking a jungly seed.

I think this will likely fit what you are after.  Average temperature is around 32, with rainfall between 500 and 1000.  The spawn biome is an acacia forest.  East-southeast there are Kapok trees, some distance away.  The heavy canopy foliage of the continent you spawn on allows monsters to spawn during the day.  In the spawn area, the top layer is basalt, nice and dark.  The occasional mountain or pillar of stone thrusts out of the jungle, though it will be difficult to tell where such landmarks are, under the canopy. The deep forest seems near endless.

If you play it, hope you enjoy it!
