      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[Solved] Mods and mobs recognize

so im trying to get a mod to recognize the mobs but apparently its not reading them im wondering if you can tell me the mob ids so i can get it to see the mobs as hostile

Could you be a bit more specific or perhaps provide an example of a vanilla "mob id" ? Not quite sure what exactly you are asking for since that isn't a term that's usually used.

 

If you just mean the unlocalized name, it's just the mob name in all lowercase followed by TFC, e.g. cowTFC, chickenTFC, pigTFC.

 

If you're looking for a numerical id, that is determined when the game first loads and changes depending on if you have any other mods installed that also add entities, since it just grabs the first available id when loading.

"Damage Indicators" identifies mobs as hostile.  As do a number of minimap mods.

That has usually absolutely nothing to do with any sort of "mob id" and is much more likely to just be looking for entities that extend EntityMob in the code, which none of the passive entities do.

i was working in trying to get achient warfare 2 npcs to see them and this is fixed did not know the that names started with lowercase. werid thing is before i got this the achenint warfar npcs saw the mobs as freinds enough of friends some tried healing zombies as they burned

Neither. They have already found a mod, and they are trying to edit its config files to get it to work properly.
