      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

You do know that malachite is copper, right? If you have that, you don't need Native Copper. Also, remember that ores only spawn in specific rock types.

Native Copper can only be found in stone types that are igneous extrusive. That malachite you found only spawns in Marble or Limestone, and neither of those are igneous extrusive so you'll never find any native copper until you go far enough that the stone type changes. The same goes for limonite and coal, the stone types they spawn in can't spawn Native Copper.

Is there any specific reason you prefer Native Copper? They're essentially  the exact same thing. The only difference is that Malachite can also be used for green dye. When it comes to smelting and creating copper things it literally does not matter which one you use.

And the various coppers can be mixed together. So 9 copper nuggets (malachite, Tetrahedrite or native copper in any combination) and 1 cassiterite makes bronze. The same is true of iron (you can mix the three types in bloomery and blast furnace).
