      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I hope I post this in the right spot.

I'm looking for a fun seed with some lakes, alot of the different trees and in the climate range where I can grow crops year round. If anyone has any awesome seeds let me know please and thank you.

Here's a seed for you: 861191372

This spawns you in a chalk biome, next to a lake with sequoia, white cedar, ash and pine trees nearby.

It doesn't really fir your temperature requirement, though - the average biome temp is only 12 degrees - but it could be a lot worse.

Z is around -11000

-7000 And below pretty much. Go to 0 for no winters.

What z cords have little to no winter?

As Sequoia says, around -7k and below is a safe bet for most all crops to be immortal.  I wouldn't go all the way to z0 though.  You've got basically two options there - an acacia forest, or a dry grassland.  Both kind of boring.  You could get 'lucky' and find a desert or kapok forest, maybe.  But your berry bushes will never produce fruit because it's too hot.  Some fruit trees also will not fruit.  You'll also become thirsty quicker, which is annoying when mining.  Also you'll only find chickens and pigs around z0.  I think cows stop showing up around z4k, and sheep farther away yet.  z0 just isn't that great.

if you want a really great seed (have to travel a bit for various tree types though) Try "42".  I tried it on a whim (thank you Douglas Adams) and it is AMAZING for the sheer volume of copper. You go south from spawn and follow the acacia forest border east and get 3 different large deposits and tons on the ground. Explore the east coast and take the river sw back toward spawn to get several Sphalerites. Then you follow the acacia  to the west (there is a part in the middle of the continent where the forest juts north, just go north and keep going west) and find bismuth. I've made my base on the western edge of the continent and found several more large copper veins, a few sphalerite veins, a good bismuth vein there, and a limonite vein I've yet to explore. It's got tons of crops and they grow year round. Sheep I found in the mountains to the NE of my base and cows to the North of that.
