      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Bug Report: Wood Piles

8 posts in this topic

it is now possible in 47b to put 12 * 4 wood into a single 4x4 wood pile.

i'll try to make charcoal with it and see if things explode or crash horribly sometime soon, thanks.

Already tested. It yields more, almost triple it

Unfortunately, shift-clicking the wood into the pile when there's an existing full 12-stack (but no partial stacks) of wood in the pile will remove 12 units from your inventory but only add 4 units to the pile. Drag-clicking wood onto the pile will only add 4-stacks to the pile, but wood doesn't disappear like with shift-clicking.

ah, thanks for testing for me, was just about to start a new test world in case it corrupted the save or anything as i've just finished setting up the firepit in the world i intend to keep.

i notice if you pick up the entire stack and left click it in it will only four take pieces like i believe is intended but shift clicking seems to be what causes entire stacks of 12 to fit, it can make getting the firepit going a little more dodgy since you have to place the last two wood piles by aiming at the ceiling (at least with my setup) but it's no big deal and it's not much of a hassle to bring it back down to 4, although i did manage to catch fire lol.

cool, i had a look at the bug tracker before actually, but i wasn't sure i wanted to try using it, looked a bit daunting, i'm sure it's deceivingly simple though, glad people are happy to to post it up for me or whoever though. :D

It's not that big a deal, really. It's like a forum. If you have a bug you think merits reporting, you first search for it to make sure you're not making a duplicate and/or it's been resolved/etc. If it hasn't, you post a new one. If it has but it's missing some info (namely, how to replicate it), feel free to add that information provided you can. Otherwise, nothing to report. It's daunting...ness is merely because it looks like it was designed by a programmer for a programmer. Just go to view issues and search away.
