ATTENTION Forum Database Breach 03/04/2019
There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again. -
This forum is now READ ONLY! 01/20/2020
As of this post and forever into the future this forum has been put into READ ONLY MODE. There will be no new posts! A replacement is coming SoonTM . If you wish to stay up-to-date on whats going on or post your content. Please use the Discord or Sub-Reddit until the new forums are running.

Hey folks. I am playing with writing a tfc-centric mod for allowing the creation of road blocks. I am not a java person -- though when they finally rewrite Minecraft in Perl, I'll be all over it.
Anyway, I am having an issue with creating crafting recipes that use the TFC dirt types. I can create recipes using the standard blocks, but have not figured out how to refer to blocks that are from a different mod.
I cheat on my own server by creating the recipes in MineTweaker, but that's really not appropriate, if I want to share the mod here.
Does someone have a code-snippet that they would be willing to post, that shows the proper syntax to refer to the blocks/items that are loaded by TFC?
Thanks in advance.

Oh well, I'm guessing I fixed it with the railcraft fix.
Oops -- missed that I had left -Dnet.dries007.tfctweaks.asm.disable in the launcher on the client end. Not disabled on the server, though.

I'll take it! Thank you.

Have you read, understood, and followed all of the rules listed in large text at the top of the suggestions forum?(Yes/No): Yes
I would like to suggest an option to allow the indicator 'tool mode' for hoe, chisel, etc. to be:
1) Hidden (You can really tell what mode you're in by what is being highlighted on the screen).
2) Moved (For example, beside the Health Bars, rather than beside the inventory hotbar).
I am specifically asking because I use another mod (dualhotbar) which extends the hotbar to twice its width. But there is precedence for mods that have 'additional heads-up displays' to allow those displays to have a configurable location, like what is available for the quiver-hud.
Thanks for your attention

It looks like the mod you are looking for might be WAWLA
Indeed it is, thank you.

Grab TFC and waila and test yourself. If it doesn't work there then it is from another mod.
Thanks, did that before asking. Doing this does not, however, prove that there is not some element in a config file that I would also need to turn on to enable it.
Percent Chopped is not part of TFC. In fact, you can't even partially break blocks in TFC; the moment you stop it reverts back to a normal block. There is some mod out there that does create that mechanic, and would likely also create WAILA support for it, but I can't remember the name of it.
Thanks for the reply, that gives me a direction to pursue. This mod does not add a persistent broken counter to the block, it simply identifies how much percentage of the break action you have completed.

That would be greatly appreciated. I can try to fix the bug. I thought I fixed most of the ASM issues when I fixed the railcraft incompatibility, but I guess not. Just to be sure, you are using build nr 15 right? (Otherwise you'll have to try that fist)
I rebuilt the modpack, and with the current versions of all of the mods, I was unable to duplicate the issue. Sorry for bothering you.

Description:
I am building a new modset, and have found that unlike my previous set, the Waila display no longer shows progress percentage while chopping trees. My previous modset was based on paring down TechnoFirma, and I have assembled my new set from base, so I am not entirely certain how the percentage indicator got there in the old set.
So my question is: Is the Percent Chopped part of the TFC/Waila integration, or was that something baked-in by one of the other mods? If it is part of the base integration, is there something I have to do in order to enable it?
Thanks in advance.0 -
The reason I make the ASM hack disableable is to make it easier to fix out what is happening, but since it makes the mod kind of useless.
I've used your mod exclusively for the food merge, which works without the ASM. (And should be merged into base TFC, IMHO.) I only just now found a mod which requires the translation feature (Adventurer's Amulets)
Incompatible Mods (from my notes) without your disable flag:
buildcraft-6.4.9.jar IguanaTweaks-1.7.10-2B.jar ImmersiveEngineering-0.6.0.jar PneumaticCraft-1.7.10-1.11.16-138-universal.jar
I'll have to build a new server to get you logs.

Hey, couple of things. I could not get TFC-Tweaks working with a couple of mods without the ASM Disable flag. (I assume that you are aware of this, since you have published the ASM disable flag...) But if you want additional info on the incompatibilities, let me know.
Second thing, I notice in the autogenerated .config file, the properties for water/lava are created as:
fluidhacks {
# Override the vanilla lava with TFC's fresh lava. [default: false]
B:makeAllLavaFTCLava=false
# Override the vanilla water with TFC's fresh water. [default: false]
B:makeAllWaterFTCWater=false
}Should they really be "FTC" or are the properties really "TFC"?
Thanks! -- Can't live without the food autostacking.

That is from a custom mod made specifically for Technofirma.
Ah, so no way for us to add our own recipies?
0 -
1) I removed it because it is slow to update, has caused several crashes, and not all that useful. Also, I got tired of having to remove it just to re-add it.
2) what are "forge plans," and what am I adding to them?
Forge plans ... Plans for things to make in the forge.--- OOPS, Anvil.
For example, there is a recipe for the iron end-caps for Thaumcraft wands.

May I ask a couple of questions
1) Why did you remove TFCUdary -- was there an issue?
2) What is the method used to add Forge Plans
Thanks

I engaged the developer of TerraMisc and it has been addressed with the latest release.

In vanilla there is the tiny biomes option, maybe something like this for the stone layers would also be fun to play around with.
This is almost exactly what I am wanting. I play with at most two other people on a private server. We don't mind hunting for things we need, but the world ends up being so huge that we end up enabling teleport just so that half of our TFC experience isn't spent walking from 'where the copper is' to 'where the tin is' and back. And enabling TP is experience-ruining, IMHO.
I don't need to make everything easy to find, or get rid of the "bad" biomes. I just want to make the whole world smaller so that there is less distance from "maximum North" to "maximum South" -- still have all the gradients that exist now, just have them be configurably smaller.
Same with the oceans. I'd rather not have my server grind to a halt because someone is generating chunk after chunk of useless ocean looking for a nearby Island with pigs on it. The ability to change land/ocean ratios would be nice.

SSP/SMP (SinglePlayer/MultiPlayer): SMPHave you deleted your config files or are using default configs and are still able to reproduce this bug? (Yes/No): YES
Do you have any mods other than Forge, TFC, and TerraMisc installed? (Yes/No): NOWhen No users are connected, your mod interferes with the TFC mod's slowing time in such a way that the Calendar decrements.
See http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/8734-issue-with-calendar-time-in-modded-smp-tfc/ For details.
In order to reproduce the issue (and strip away all possible other mods from my server):
I built a server with only TFC and TerraMisc.
I left all configs default except the port.
I logged in and verified starting calendar date of 1 June 1000, and exited.
In console, I executed /time add 2500000
I logged in and verified calendar date of 1 July 1001, and exited.
Waited 2 hours, with no users logged on.
I logged in and verified calendar date of 3 June 1001.
So apparently both you and TFC are subtracting time when the server is idle, the net effect being that time rolls backwards when the server is idle?
0 -
TFC - No Time elapsed
TFC + Sac: - No Time elapsedTFC + Tweaks - No Time elapsed
TFC + Udary - No Time elapsed
TFC + Misc - Negative Time Elapsed.
I guess I have my answer.

Can you reproduce this with only TFC installed? It looks to me like one of the addons is messing up the server sleep function, in which TFC slows down the passage of time when no players are online.
I am going to try to set up a bunch and see which one(s) duplicate the behavior. Is there a console command I can execute to see the Calendar time without having to build a bunch of client mod combinations?
OK, my poor server is crying under the load, but I have got 5 additional MC servers running. TFC plain, Plus TFC + 1 each of the mods. I'll update in an hour.

So, I am doing a bit of higher-resolution checking, and I see that the clock is actually decrementing, even in the version with the default configs.
While logged in, time seems to operate properly.
When server has no activity for a certain period, time decrements.
I built the default-config server this AM to get the default config files to diff with the ones I was using on the real server. After posting original message, I started the server, and did /time add until I got Calendar to 7 AUG 1001. Verified by connecting with client at [10:59:19]. I connected again at [11:54:55] and Calendar was 4 AUG 1001. I connected again at [12:55:28] and Calendar was at 1 AUG 1001.
So it appears to be going backwards at about four days per hour realtime.

Generally speaking, if the calendar resets to specifically June 1st, 1000 the vanilla
/time set day
command has been used. That command doesn't actually set the calendar to the next day, it just resets the server timer to 0. In vanilla Minecraft this doesn't matter since nothing is running off of a calendar timer, but in TFC it resets the calendar back to the first day of the calendar, which is June 1st, 1000.
I do understand that. But I am not entering /time set day on the console. (Though I have done /time add XXXXX to re-forward the calendar.)
I have generated a new copy of the server with the default configs, and will see if the behavior continues there.

Description:
While players (at this point, only me) are connected, time forwards as normal. When players are disconnected, calendar time reverts to an earlier period. Last night, disconnected when it was August, 1000. Connected this morning it was June, 1000.
Had this issue on a more heavily modded server, and rebuilt using fewer mods, attempting to eliminate issue. Have seen pit kilns with waila saying they had months left to go, etc.
No errors or mention of time in server console. No crash.

I rebuilt the server with fewer mods, and am getting the same behavior. This set may be debuggable by TFC folks, so I will try posting in Support Forum.

So, I posted this in "Off Topic" since I didn't really see where it would fit anywhere except support, and there are enough extra mods that I would not expect the TFC folks to actually support my config.
Anywho...
I am running the following mod set on a 64 bit CentOs machine:
forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1448-1.7.10-universal.jar
minecraft_server.1.7.10.jar

TFC-Tweaks-1.7.10-0.3.0.11.jar
TFCUdaryMods.0.2.28.zip
Waila-1.5.10_1.7.10.jarAnd, except for an occasional hiccup where a double-chest is shown as two single chests (and the client crashes when it tries to open it) I have had no issues --
Except -- periodically when the server has been idle (IE, no one logged in) - the calendar will reset to a previous date. There are no messages and no errors in the console, but the time will have reverted from summer back to spring in the same year.
I presume that there is something that is trying to manipulate the clock in a way that is fine with normal minecraft, but TFC does not like because it cares about seasons, but I am not sure what it is. I'm hoping someone may have seen this before, and found a resolution, or may have an idea which mod may be the culprit.
Thanks in advance.

Code sample for referring to TFC Blocks/Items
in Addon Discussion
Posted
Thank you for the quick reply. If I knew anything about java other than what I have learned poking at this mod, I am sure what you said would make perfect sense.
If I am understanding this properly, if I refer to 'dirtblock' in the dictionary -- that would allow me to treat each type of dirt as the same thing. However, since TFC has a dozen different dirt textures, if I want to have a 'limestone dirt road' made from limestone dirt, and looking like limestone dirt, I cannot use the dictionary. (Is this correct?)
I'm not looking for a Java tutorial, I don' t want to be that sort of burden, but when looking at your Recipe.java code, which I imported into Eclipse, I get compile time errors when trying to refer to things that will be created at run-time from it. (Sorry if I am using the wrong terminology.) This is why I was hoping someone had a simple sample, so I could see the proper includes, and syntax.
Thanks again.
