      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Just how much do pigs eat?

I stand corrected! It seemed like my sheep were eating as much as i could feed them rather than just eating once a day, so i assumed they had the same problem, but i tried again and they work correctly
  2. Just how much do pigs eat?

You feed them by shift right clicking. It seems like you are only supposed to be able to feed them once per day but there seems to be no limit and it doesnt seem to actually make them more familiar, so i wouldnt waste your grain until it is fixed
  3. How far did you get in TFC build 79?

After a few worlds I found one that looked nice, but i've had a heck of a time getting copper (dug down where I finally found nuggets, not even a trace of copper yet) so i took a break from that and collected crops and built a barn for animals. seems like the new animal familiarity system doesnt work, but ive got some sheep for when it gets fixed. Definitely liking the new features, especially torches.
  4. I havent had time to try this but my idea is replace the door with nonflamable but removable or passable blocks (dirt? metal sheets?) and put one of the new trapdoors in the roof for dropping in a torch
  5. Smoke racks

I tried to figure it out in creative on 79.1, I had a few crashes due to using commands to pass time and my use of spawning items vs spawning tools to obtain items was inconsistent so I never successfully smoked anything, but I did manage to make a smoke rack by placing wool yarn between two blocks, and i made brine with 9 buckets of saltwater and 1 of vinegar and put food in the brine and sealed it, so if you have the resources for it id work from there and post your experience for us
  6. More trees

    Mmmmm, gin
  7. [Solved] That's not Lignite

    Lignite IS coal
  8. When I first realized this was the case I was a bit mad, but after playing with it I actually prefer it this way. Smithing is harder now, requiring perfection, so it takes longer and as a result you might need to heat the ingot more than once, which is actually really cool! In single player i had no trouble whatsoever welding copper or bronze (i made a copper anvil in two batches of copper without so much as a lit firepit) so if the server is laggy enough to make welding impossible, it probably shouldn't be a server. Just for fun I stuck enough material in 3 clay vessels for 11 bronze each and tried to make the 8 double sheets for a bloomery, managed to get a double sheet, two single sheets, and a double ingot before everything was too cool to work with. Thats pretty forgiving on temperature IMO
  9. I was filling a pit kiln with unfired tool molds and an unfired vessel when I got a phone call, so I exited the world so I wouldn't die while I was busy on the phone. When I logged back in, the vessel was still there but the tool molds were gone. I attempted to "pick up" the items in those spots to see if they just weren't rendering and that didn't work.

  11. World Sometimes Fails to launch

Sometimes if I exit a world and then go back to it later without restarting minecraft, it goes from the world menu to the title screen rather than launching the world. If I then go back to the world list and try again, it goes to the loading screen, and says "Loading World" and "shutting down internal server" on the same screen and then stops responding before passing that screen. I haven't had this problem with vanilla or FTB, only TFCraft. I used the TFCraft launcher to install, and I added Rei's minimap on top of that. I have nothing else added. Its a pretty minor issue, but a strange one.
  12. World Sometimes Fails to launch

Next time it happens I will try to get a crash report
  13. new storage idea

I always love games with this style of inventory. I can't speak for the TFC devs but as an indie game developer myself, I can say that systems like that are an absolute nightmare to code even from scratch, and shoehorning that into minecraft would be even harder, probably requiring that the entire codebase for inventory be completely rewritten and perminantly breaking compatability with other mods. I would LOVE to see this if they can find a way to make it happen, but id be surprised if they did. Now, what they maybe COULD do is assign like a weight/bulk numeric value to items and limit your total weight and bulk carried with that. Still some modification to the inventory basecode but significantly less and it would be less compatability-breaking
  14. Launching reverts to stock Minecraft

No idea whats causing it, but if you go not to where vanilla is, but to where tfcraft's actual files are (i think on windows its tfcraft in the same folder as .minecraft) and delete THAT folder's bin folder it should fix it. It has happened to me twice so far and that fixed it both times, without harming my other mods or my world. A permanent fix would be nice though.
  15. [B76] Latest version bugs & FAQ.

Go into the tfc folder and delete the bin folder and then relaunch the launcher. It should re-download and work and your world should be unharmed (I had the same problem and this fixed it)
  16. TFC Launcher Opening Normal Minecraft

I had the same problem but i solved it by just deleting /tfcraft/bin so mods and saves can be preserved without moving them
