It was a glitch in 52b apparently, after I updated to 52e, everything was fine. Thanks for the help anyway!

This seed [-787579104] is amazing. When I started out on my swamp island I thought "ehhh". This thought was far from accurate. Then, later, I mined down under these mountains and found a massive, I do mean MASSIVE vein of bituminous coal (I have mined ~1/3 and have already found nearly 400 pieces of coal.
